What Are The Precautions For Using Digital Pressure Gauges?

As a precision instrument, digital pressure gauges also have many precautions when using them, which is conducive to ensuring accurate measurement and extending service life. Today CSHERUN shares some precautions.

digital pressure gauges

1. Range selection

Its measured pressure should be between 1/3-2/3 of the instrument range, avoiding long-term over-range (especially instantaneous overpressure), otherwise the sensor may be damaged and accuracy may be affected. If measuring pulsating pressure, people need to choose a model with a range 1.5-2 times larger than the actual pressure to prevent frequent impact damage to internal components.

2. Installation specifications

The installation location should avoid severe vibration, high temperature, strong magnetic field or corrosive gas environment, and add shock absorption and heat insulation devices when necessary. If this instrument is installed vertically or horizontally, ensure that the interface is well sealed to prevent leakage. People should avoid excessive force when connecting the threads to prevent damage to the interface.

3. Medium compatibility

People should confirm that digital pressure gauges are compatible with the measured medium before use, avoid contact with corrosive, viscous or easily crystallized media, and prevent the sensor from being corroded or blocked.

4. Operation precautions

Before starting the machine, check whether the power supply voltage is consistent with the rated voltage of the instrument to prevent the circuit from being burned. Open the valve slowly during measurement to avoid sudden pressure rise and impact on the sensor; turn off the medium source before shutting down the machine.

5. Daily maintenance

CSHERUN recommends that users can do regular calibration 1-2 times a year to ensure that the accuracy meets the requirements, especially when used for measurement or critical processes. In addition, the surface of the instrument should be kept clean to avoid oil and dust covering the display screen. When cleaning, wipe it with a dry cloth and do not rinse it directly with water. In addition, if people do not use it for a long time, they should disconnect the power supply and store it in a dry and ventilated environment to avoid direct sunlight and high temperature and humidity.

6. Special scene precautions

When used in explosion-proof occasions, people should choose models with explosion-proof certification to avoid safety risks caused by illegal operations. When measuring flammable and explosive media, workers should ensure that the instrument is well grounded to prevent static electricity accumulation.

People follow the above precautions when using digital pressure gauges, which can effectively reduce failures and ensure its stable operation and measurement accuracy.
